Midwife appt

Well after being there forever! We finally got to see a midwife..not mine, but another one who was very nice. They are usually not that behind schedule. Anyways...everything was great! I'm no longer on any restrictions as far as activities. The heart beat was 143 bpm and I am measuring right on track. Next time I have to get the Rhogam shot because we found out Ben is A+ and I'm 0-. I will also have to do the glucose test...yuck! But I'm glad everything is going well! Thank you Lord! Only two more days till 24 weeks!

Praises and Prayer Requests

Well it's Sunday and time for the weekly Praises and Prayer Requests Blog!

I happy to announce that Jamie delivered a healthy baby girl on Tuesday- Isabelle. So that's a praise that the delivery went smoothly.

I am also praising Jesus that I've made it another week of pregnancy yay! Viability day is Thursday!

Please continue to remember Stellan in your prayers. He received a central line and they are switching him back to another iv drug. His mom in particular needs prayer, she is getting very tired.

Please be praying for praying for the family of Sage Lawrence. He was an 8 month old baby boy that passed away suddenly in his crib with no report as to the cause.

Comment your praises and prayer requests and I will add them! (I'm still working on adding another column to the left side so bear with me another week).

23 Weeks

Well we've made it to 23 weeks! Just one more week till viability day. I don't really know why it matters so much to me. Alot of people don't even think twice about it. Just another thing to trust God with. I'm so glad He's in control and I'm not! Anyway, here's my bump shot of the week!

The other day Kyle was so active it was like he was doing soccer kicks in my stomach. My stomach was moving alot it was really funny.

I've been feeling pretty good. I've figured out what Braxton Hicks are and their so weird. I just need to be better about what I've been eating, I'm afraid the Dr. will say I've gained too much weight at my appt Tuesday. It's so so hard when you crave chocolate cake and ice cream!!

Praying for Stellan

Prayers for Stellan

This is the button to pray for a sweet little boy named Stellan. He was found to have a heart problem in utero and was thought to have been healed of it when he was born with no problems. Well this last week the problem showed up again and he's been in the PICU on various combinations of drugs but nothing is working. Please pray for this family and for little Stellan and the wisdom of the doctors.

Well until I figure out how to do this...

Thanks to my new friend Shannon who's going to help me redesign my blog! So until I actually have a bar on the left side I'll just be posting the praises and prayer requests in my blog.

So I realized that yesterday I didn't put down my praises and prayer requests so I'll start with mine and add others as we go along:

Stephanie: Praise- I'm healthy and God gave me the energy this weekend to almost finish the nursery! Prayer Request- Kyle to keep growing strong, Ben starting back to school this week.

Jamie: Prayer Request- She's being induced today and we are praying for safe delivery of Isabelle and for her to be healthy!

Now it's your turn (click the comment botton at the bottom of the post to comment with your praise and/or prayer request or send me an e-mail)

AJU5'sMom: For someone else:http://www.mycharmingkids.net//Baby Stellan is have an elevated heart rate that they can't get back down. He had this in-utero as well, but seemed to be healthy at birth (now 4 months old). Us: Praise that there is no more bare concrete or subfloor in our house and that the end of the remodeling (inside) is in site!

My mom: Praise the Lord for His provision, protection and care of us during our week-long trip to Missouri. Please pray for my mom (Steph's G-mom)to get well from month long sinus infection and bronchitis. Thanks, blessings to you!

It's Sunday and I've decided to start doing the Praises and Prayer Requests on Sunday's. I want to start adding your prayer requests to my blog (general of course). Just comment on this post and I will add it. If you don't want me to add it that's okay too. Just send your request in an e-mail to me and I will still pray for it.

22 Weeks

Here's my latest bump picture. I made it with some of my new digital scrapbooking stuff. I'm going to work next on a new header for the page. As you can see it is definitely bigger since last week. His movements have been higher up too. Well this week Kyle is as big as a Papaya! His lungs are maturing and his fingernail are already grown!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This was the first year I continued my mom's tradition and made corned beef and cabbage. I was very proud of myself. Ben thought it was yummy!
I also had my follow up ultrasound today to check on my cervical length and placenta location.
The tech said my placenta is nowhere near my cervix. Yay!!!!
She had to do a lovely internal ultrasound to double check my cervical length. It's 3.3 cm! Right on the money.
Praise God He worked it all out and everything looks great!
I wish I had some good pictures to upload but unfortunately Kyle loved sucking on his toes so much his hands and foot were in the way. Silly boy I think he's doing gymnastics in there :) Sometimes it feels like he's using my cervix as a trampoline...LOL

21 Weeks

Well...We're 21 weeks today! I decided to do a little quiz for fun this week. Also...Kyle is now the size of a banana...I know seems strange to jump from a cantalope to banana but it's because they now measure him head to toe instead of head to rump.

How far along? 21 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: + 9lbs (at least appt)
Maternity clothes? Yep...can't fit in any regular pants and shirts are now getting short and tight
Stretch marks? Yes...sadly...up top where I didn't want them...hoping for zero on the belly...been lotioning up 2x a day
Sleep: Not fun this week...back is killer in the mornings. Praying for relief
Best moment this week: When a dear friend from church came up to me Sunday put her hand on my tummy and said, "It's such a blessing to see you like this" It was the sweetest thing...and feeling Kyle kick around a lot earlier this week
Movement: Alot earlier in the week, not so much the last 2 days...he must be growing and is sleeping alot
Food cravings: Nothing out of the ordinary from what I usually eat...love chocolate right now
Gender: 100% boy!
Labor Signs: None, thank goodness!
Belly Button in or out? In but almost flat
What I miss: Sleeping good and not having a backache 24/7
What I am looking forward to: Kyle getting here!! I'm already getting anxious
Weekly Wisdom: It's okay to sleep more and not do everything you used to do
Milestones: Ben got to feel him kick on the outside last week...he was so happy!

20 weeks 4 days

Hi friends. Sorry I've been MIA this week. Things have been CRAZY at work this week. I will get a new belly pic tonight and upload it.

My midwife appt. went well on Tuesday. She wants to watch my placenta and says it isn't covering the cervix, praise God! but is about 1cm away. I think she said they want it more than 3 cm away? I can't remember for sure right now. But she is confident that it will more than likely move up as the uterus stretches. I have another ultrasound next Tuesday (3/17) and we will recheck it then. She also said my cervix is shorter than she would like (2.9cm) still within the normal range but she would like it to lengthen as well so I don't have to worry about pre-term labor. It's all in God's hands and I trust Him to take care of it and protect little Kyle.

All of Kyle's anatomy looks great! Praise God! So I am VERY thankful for that.

So until my placenta has moved up it means pelvic rest for me...AKA no sex or strenuous activity.

I ask that you be praying for mine and Ben's relationship to be protected through this time as this is the first time we won't be able to be "intimate" since we've been married and it's hard; especially for Ben.

And since I can't play tennis for now that's a bummer for me, but I can walk!! And continue my yoga.

So all in all, things are good, Kyle is healthy and I get more anxious each day to meet him! I'm really bonding with him now as he's growing and I feel him alot more now. I just can't wait to hold him...I pray that God continues to grow him strong until his delivery. It's always a fear of mine that we won't get to. But I know God already knows the plans for Kyle's life and how many days are set before him. I just rest in that and I have peace.
