Spread it Around

So Obama told Joe the Plumber and he's telling American that his plan is to "Spread the Wealth Around". A lady in Albuquerque decided to try out Obama's plan. She went to dinner and on her way in to the restaurant she saw a homeless man and he had sign saying he needs help and anything you can give would help. So the lady went into the restaurant and sat down and ordered her food and the waitress came up and she had on an Obama t-shirt .The lady felt kind of annoyed that the waitress would be wearing a political t-shirt. So when she was ready to pay the bill and give the waitress her tip she told the waitress since she was an Obama supporter that she would take her tip and give it to the homeless guy that was outside the restaurant. The waitress got pissed off and the lady explained to her what spreading the wealth meant and walked outside and showed the waitress that she did give her tip to the homeless guy.

Now I'm not saying that homeless people don't deserve to be helped, but it is the job of the church to clothe the naked and feed the hungry, not the government. We need less government in America not more.

Choose Life

I found this video today and it is very powerful. It says everything I would want to. I can't even comprehend why Christians would want to vote for Obama just based ont his one issue...He said if one of his daughters made a mistake he wouldn't want them punished with a baby. That shows right there he doesn't think people should be responsible for their own actions!! Just watch the video.

Your Vote Counts!!

With less than a week till America decides the next President, I am fearful. Fearful that American's are uninformed about the candidates and will cast their vote based purely on what the media has told them. Fearful of what will happen to our great nation if Obama becomes President

Yes, I am voting McCain/Palin. He is the only choice for America because otherwise we get Obama, and that would mean the end of Democracy and our America the Beautiful as we know it today. Obama might have the eloquence and charisma but McCain has the history and love for America. McCain has been serving this country since he was 17 and will continue to till the day he dies; there is no question about it. I question whether Obama has ever loved our country.

The question everyone needs to ask themselves before they vote is who do they trust? How could you even think of voting for someone who has been friends with a terrorist? McCain has earned the privilege of being our commander and chief because he's proven he wants to do what's best for Americans. He almost died for our country.

People need to stop relying on the media to inform them about the candidates and do the research for themselves. How can people not see the media is biased towards Obama, it sickens me! I agree with Sean Hannity that 2008 was the year journalism died.

Even aside from the Character of the candidates, there is the issue of their policies. McCain wants to maintain the Bush tax cuts which help create jobs and cut Federal spending. Obama wants to increase Federal spending and says he won't raise taxes, but how does he think he will pay for all these new government programs like healthcare and such? By taxing US!! Now he has said that he won't tax you if you're not wealthy. But he's changed his definition of wealthy from 300k to 250k to 200k and today Biden said it was 150k, So what will keep him from changing his mind to making it 50k and taxing YOU? He wants to take from the rich and give to the poor. It didn't work for Robin Hood, it didn't work for the other Socialist/Communist nations and it's not going to work for us!!

A New Thing

So for a few years now I've been reading random people's blogs. I love knowing what's going on in people's lives. I read this one blog that I still read now about a lady and her husband who struggled with infertility and now they have a 5 month old baby girl. So I decided instead of just reading other people's blogs to go ahead and start my own.

Our Love Story

So my DH (Ben) and I met each other in highschool at a private Christian school we both attended. I was a sophmore and he was a freshman. We absolutely hated each other! He made me cry one day after school because he would irritate the heck out of me and tease me...it was horrible. I actually had a crush on his best friend. But he liked me and that was his "freshman" way of showing it.

So the next year we both grow up a little and decide to kind of be friends. We started talking more. A while later after we both get out of separate relationships we realize we both have a lot in common and become good friends. At this point I still don't like him and have no clue he likes me. Then God changes my heart and I start to have feelings for him like out of the blue. It was April and getting to be around prom time. I figure if he doesn't ask me I'll ask this other guy at our school. Well he ends up asking me to prom over AIM. I guess he wanted to ask me the day before at school but we were playing basketball and he got hit in the face (I think I threw the ball) and got a bloody nose and I left before he was done in the bathroom. ( I know...I sound real nice huh, LOL I swear I didn't know he got hurt).

I was so excited to go to prom with him I had never been asked by a guy before. So the whole month or so before prom we start to hang out all the time and I realize how much I really do like him and how much we have in common and the same goals for our lives and thoughts about dating, marriage, kids, etc. Then on April 24th he tells me that he really likes me and wants to be more than just friends. I tell him I really likehim to but am not sure if I want to be in a relationship. I say we should pray about it and decide later but their is no guarantee. LOL. Then by September I think he tells me that he feels that is what we should do and even though I'm scared I agree... (This all seems so funny to me now)

So we basically (date with a purpose for the next few years) Lots of magical things happen, he gives me his first kiss (I had kissed one other person :( but he hadn't). And then at our special spot int he mountains we go to every fall he proposed on Sept. 24th. We were married a year later on Sept. 23rd 2006.

12/7/08- 8 weeks...saw "Sprout" for the first time on ultrasound.
1/5/09 12 week appt (first w/midwife)...couldn't find HB had to go for ultrasound...everything fine...anterior placenta
2/5/09 16 week appt-scheduled big U/S for 2/17...baby hb in 160's. Gained 9 lbs since pre-pregnancy
2/17/09 Big U/S...it's a boy! Named Kyle Thomas
3/3/09 20 week appt..HALF WAY! Anatomy scan normal...looks like placenta is low lying and cervix is short (2.8) follow-up U/S scheduled. Fundal height 20 cm
3/17/09- Follow up U/S. placenta is "no where near cervix" cervix 3.3 (fine!)
3/31/09- 23 week appt. HB 140's, +14lbs pre-pregnancy. Placenta, cervix fine, no restrictions. Fundal height 23 cm
4/13/09- 25 week appt. 1 hr. Glucose test (failed!!), fundal height 26in (up 3in in 2 weeks!). HB 130's.
4/16/09 - 3 Hour Glucose test (passed!)
4/30/09- Got the Rhogam shot via IV...no reactions, wasn't so bad.
5/7/09- 28 week appt. HB 140's, + 18 lbs pre-preg., fundal height 28in, have to stop tennis now :(
5/19/09- 30 week appt. BP- 100/80, Fundal height- 30 cm Weight- up +20lb pre-preg HR- 160 bpm.
6/3/09- 32 week appt. BP- 100/70, Fundal height- 34 cm Weight- up +24lb pre-preg HR- 138 bpm.
6/17/09- 34 week appt. BP 102/70, fundal height 35 cm, weight +28lb pre-preg., HR 145-148 bpm. Everything's great! They won't stop labor if I go into it.
7/1/09-36 week appt. BP 100/67, fundal height 36 cm, weight +31lb pre-preg., HR 130 bpm. 2cm dialated 50% effaced!
7/8/09-37 week appt. BP 120/??, fundal height 37 1/2 cm, weight +33 1/2 lbs pre-preg., HR 130-160 BPM, no more progress checks- this doesn't determine when labor will start and we know my cervix is already "ripe".
7/13/09 Cervix 3cm. Stripped Membranes.
