17 weeks and dr appt

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=126zZsEDYBnDXt1M3H97oiKSXwoQzytTT
Had an appointment today and everything went great. Baby is super active my midwife said as she was chasing for the heartbeat. It was ranging from high 140’s to low 150’s. Got my thyroid bw drawn like I do every 6 weeks. My bp was still a bit high 143/77 but I was rushing to get there and maybe sat for 5 min. Plus breathing in a mask makes it hard too.  My midwife is moving so she referred me to who she thinks would be best for me and that is an OBnin the same office. I’m fine with that cause I still get a midwife for delivery as long as everything goes well and no C-section. So other updates this week:
Movement: a lot more consistent I also felt from
The outside once this week.

Cravings: blt’s still lol and just protein in general and chocolate

Symptoms: just fatigue at the end of the day like I fall
asleep by 8:30pm. I’m also having strange dreams which according to my baby app happens around now. I am hungry a lot too but trying to eat as healthy as I can and still gluten-free like I have for the past 6 years. It helps me a lot.

Exercise: barre3 and walking and trying to get as many house projects done as I can while I still feel good and can bend over.

Weight- I kept track of this all my other pregnancies I realized so I guess I will this time too. +14lb from Pre-pregnancy

10 days till my anatomy scan and gender reveal!! Can’t wait! That will be my next update probably.

38 weeks

Well we are getting down to the very end, and boy does my body feel like it. Between not hardly being able to walk from hip pain and peeing every 2 minutes I'm getting tired. I know it is all worth it and I have had such a great pregnancy I am truly thankful. Here's the stat's from today's appt.

Weight: +33 1/2 lbs pre-preg
BP- 120/?? (higher because this was right after I was told my glucose test was normal and I am negative for group B step!)

Fundal height: 37 1/2 cm
BPM- 130-160 it jumped when he got excited which is perfect, it means he's active and his placenta is still functioning well

Progress- That will be a mystery till I go into labor because she doesn't do any more checks and for good reason- once you know your cervix is "ripe" for labor like mine any more progress won't determine "when" labor will begin...I'm cool with that cause they hurt! I did have contractions for 6 hours yesterday and 4 hours last Friday...awesome!

Praise God I am GBS negative so if my water breaks I can still labor at home for a while. Also I was spilling glucose and now I'm not, and I don't have late onset gestational diabetes!! I'm going to go eat ice cream now...

So that's it...next appt. is Monday.

36 Week appt 1 day before 37 weeks

Well today was my 36 weeks appt. and tomorrow I'm 37 weeks! Yay for full term!

Total weight gain/loss: 31 lbs though I think a few of that was water weight
BP: 100/67
Fundal height: 36cm
Heartrate: 130bpm
Maternity clothes? they suck and don't cover up my belly that has recently dropped.
Stretch marks? yep, the ones from puberty on my hips have grown and I have a few faint ones that are under my belly that I can only see in the mirror.
Sleep: My hips hurt so it's hard sometimes.
Best moment this week: My appt today!
Movement: He's a little wiggle worm sometimes, he just can't get comfortable as he's running out of room.
Food cravings: BBQ sandwhich
Gender: little boy
Labor Signs: Crampy and Braxton Hicks, 2cm dialated and 50% effaced!
Button in or out? It sticks out a little but not as much as it could
What I miss: feeling pretty and fitting in my clothes
What I am looking forward to: having him here!
Milestones: Tomorrow I'm full term.

AND- she thinks he's 5 1/2 to 5lbs 13oz.

35/35

35/35 is something fun we post on thebump.com. It means 35 weeks and 35 days to go! I'm getting more and more excited to meet this little guy and to also know what real labor is like. Yesterday I was having some cramping and lots of Braxton Hicks even though I drank a ton of water. I think I was just over tired, they went away once I went to sleep. I had my 34 week appt. yesterday (it's so weird having an appt for the previous week the day before I start the next week).

Here's the stats.
Weight- +28lb pre-preg
BP- 102/70
Fundal Height- 35in (she said I'm definitely running out of room)
Heartrate- 145-148bpm (he was super active so that's why it was higher- she said he's a happy little guy today)
Progress- won't get my first internal till 38 weeks- but she did say his head is getting wedged in my pelvis (sounds painful I know) but this is a GREAT thing.

Now I'm just counting down the days till I go to part-time at work. 10 days left! WOW! That will make things so much better because I get so exhausted in the afternoons. So next appt. is July 1st and then I will have weekly appts. after that. So next week is the only week I have left without an appt!
This weekend I think I will work on installing the carseat and setting up the pack n play. That should be fun!

32 week appt

Wow...two weeks has already flown by! I hope the weeks continue to do that!
Stats:
Weight- +24 lbs pre-preg. (+4 lbs in 2 weeks)
BP- 100/70 (crazy i know!)
Fundal Height- 34 in! (crazy growth spurt)
Heartrate: 138
Position: Still head down! Good baby Kyle.
I've been having heart palpitations the last few weeks...found out it's normal in pregnancy because my heart is pushed up. As long as I'm not passing out or getting dizzy and it's not constant it's okay. MIL suggested eating more salt.
Other than that things are perfect. Found out they won't induce unless I'm like 2 weeks over, so that's good. I really want to avoid pitocin. Next appt at 34 weeks on June 17.

Fundal height- 30 in
Weight- up +20lb pre-preg (I must have thought I started out lower and that's why i'ts been 20 for like 3 weeks..)
HR- 160 bpm

Everything looks great! Praise God!! Next appt in 2 weeks.

Midwife appt 25 weeks 5 days

Well I got a call at 2pm yesterday saying my midwife was having an emergency root canal could they reschedule for today...I said no...I'd just see someone else. I'm so glad I did! I really liked the lady I saw. Plus I had already been eating no sugar for my glucose test and I didn't want to have to do it again today.

The glucose test was fine...the drink was not as bad as I thought...just like a cold orange melted otter pop...it was actually good. The blood draw wasn't too fun and hurt but oh well.
I thought I was going to get my Rhogam shot too but I guess I was just going to get the paperwork for it.

The new lady asked why I had come back so soon (only 2 weeks) and I said cause my midwife was going out of town and wanted to see me before she left...
She said she'd make my next appt 3 weeks so I'd be back on track at 28 weeks...the crazy thing is after this I will be going every 2 weeks! We are getting close to the end!

So stats....
BPM 130ish
Fundal height 26 (That's a 3 in growth in less than 2 weeks!)
Gained 2 lbs (in 2 weeks)
He kicks ALOT and I LOVE IT!

I also found out that my midwife works 6 weeks on 6 weeks off...didn't know this...DH thinks I should switch midwives...I really liked the one I saw yesterday...I might switch. It doesn't really matter because I don't know who will be on call when I deliver. The important thing is it will be a midwife and I won't have to see an OB.

Plans for the baby shower are coming along...the invites should be here this week.
The bedding came in yesterday!!! I LOVE it! I was planning on making it myself but decided that project was WAY more than I have time for. DH said to just buy it and save myself the hastle. (I LOVE HIM!)

I will post pictures of the room soon...it's almost done, just a few more things! I can't wait till my baby shower when I get everything else I need!

Midwife appt

Well after being there forever! We finally got to see a midwife..not mine, but another one who was very nice. They are usually not that behind schedule. Anyways...everything was great! I'm no longer on any restrictions as far as activities. The heart beat was 143 bpm and I am measuring right on track. Next time I have to get the Rhogam shot because we found out Ben is A+ and I'm 0-. I will also have to do the glucose test...yuck! But I'm glad everything is going well! Thank you Lord! Only two more days till 24 weeks!

Slacker

I know...I'm a terrible slacker. I haven't updated my blog in a week! Anyhow...things are still moving right along as far as I know. I made my first appt. for the OB last week...it's not till Jan 2nd cause of insurance. Being the neurotic mommy to be that I am I made a "backup" appt. with another group just in case my insurance card doesn't come in the mail in time. I'm praying it does but you never know how these things go. But it's a relief cause I would hate to have to cancel my appt and have to wait weeks for another appt. I just wish the "family practice" I go to really was one and did OB too...you just can't find a personal Dr.'s office like them. Oh well. It's just till the baby's here then he/she will be going to the nice competent office :) Can you see the pregnancy rage coming through?...

As far as symptoms go, I was more sick over the weekend but still managed to decorate the house and put the tree up. I'm better today...feel almost like normal. It's so weird how it changes from day to day! I have officially decided to stop temping because I was getting freaked out over my temps dropping when there isn't a need to. It just gives me another thing to worry about and put doubt in my mind if I really am pregnant. I figure it has now been almost 2 months since my period so something must be up right? It's silly I know, but having never gone through this before I want to second guess myself. I can see myself going to the OB in Jan and they say...nope there's no baby in there...what were you thinking? I know...I can't let those ugly little thoughts into my head...I think I read that irrational thoughts were part of this pregnancy thing? God just keeps saying, "Trust me, trust me." Why is trusting so dang hard? Thank goodness for an understanding God and a great supportive husband who always reassures me that everything will be okay. I still try not to think what it will be like to have a baby (for fear of getting to excited) and just focus on things in this week/month of pregnancy.
