30 months and 10 months

Brothers...look at Eli standing! No steps yet though

Wow I can't believe how fast this last month has gone. I guess between the holiday's and my surgery it was over in a flash. I can't believe how close we are getting to Eli's first birthday. He is getting so big and so much more interactive with everyone. He is 21 lbs and 29" long. He wears size 12-18mo clothes and size 4 shoes.
One of the cutest things he does is grabs your face with his hands and opens his mouth all big for a kiss. I love it so much. He also says "momma" all the time now but we're still working on "Dadda". He is also screaming alot less now that he is signing which helps. I want to teach him a lot more signs than I did with Kyle but that involves training myself to use them all the time first.

Kyle is getting better with his emotions and screams alot less. He has been talking more about being mad or happy and talks alot about Eli being happy and smiling. When I tell him to be quiet because brother is sleeping he says, "brother time to get up".

Kyle is also getting better at sharing but now takes my phone and says, "mommy share"...um no. LOL

28 months and 8 months

Here's what we've been up to this last month. Eli has had lots of firsts! His first halloween and his first teeth. He has his two bottom ones. He's on the move all the time and has become quite a mommy's boy. He wants me to hold him all the time. I'm so thankful for my Ergo so I can actually get things done while holding him. He was 18lbs at his last appt and in size 4 diapers...same as his brother. LOL. He wears 12 month clothes.

Kyle started potty training this month and is doing well. It is more of mommy training really. I just have to remember to take him to the bathroom all the time. Though he is going poop in the potty on his own :) He's talking more and more and I love being able to have conversations with him now.

27 months and 7 months

Kyle got into the paper shredder and the fan...what fun!

Helping Daddy in the kitchen

"Hey I want some of that brother"

Cutest little pumpkin around

Kyle: Is talking so much. I love having conversations with him. He mimicks your tone and pitch of your voice now too. He's very into firetrucks, tractors, and airplanes. He has also had a rough week of the "terrible two's" but also some really fun times too. He was blowing on Eli's belly and neck the other day making him laugh...so cute! I love to see them interact. We are also going to start potty training next week.

Eli: Growing up way to fast. I'm so sad to think this is probably my last "baby" so I'm trying to enjoy it as much as I can. He is still waiting on his first tooth but is wanting to eat everything in sight. He is known to grab your sandwich or bowl off the table if you aren't watching. He's 17lb 11oz and still 27in long. He's crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything. His favorite foods are peas, squash, applesauce, and pears. He also begged me to try my ice cream and of course loved it. I haven't been as strict with not giving him wheat like I did with Kyle. When it's the difference between a screaming baby or giving him food and a graham cracker is all you have...you just do it. LOL (we have wheat allergies on both sides so I try to wait longer to try it). And so far he's had no food allergies.

26 months and 6 months

Things Kyle says: When asked if he pooped he said, "no way".

When Eli was crying in the car I heard him saying, "don't cry brother, it's okay brother".
And he is very into everything being "funny", especially "Kyle funny". He says his name all the time now too.
I don't know his exact height but I know he's gotten taller. He is 27.4lb. He is in size 2T clothes and size 7 shoes, size 4 diapers. He has been waking early like 6am every day when it is still so dark. But I'm an early riser so I don't mind it. He is napping better in his big boy bed but some days I practically have to hold him down for a few minutes just to get him still and fall asleep, but that's not new...he's always hated to nap, LOL.

Eli has done SO much this last month. He is constantly ON THE MOVE. He sits like a pro and crawls everywhere...But he's been doing that for about a month now. Everyone comments on how big he is. He's 16lbs and I'm guessing about 28 in. He's so big we're going to have to move him to his big boy car seat early because his infant seat only goes to 29in. He is still a very happy baby though he's been teething lately so he's been more fussy. He is also eating solids now. He's had cereal, squash, pears, and bananas.

Kyle and Eli are interacting more now which is really fun.

25 months and 5 months

Kyle is 25 months now. He is 25lbs and 36in. He's in 2T clothes and size 7 shoes and size 4 diapers. He can go 1 and 2 in the potty but Mommy isn't ready for potty training just yet. He takes one 2-3 hr nap a day and sleeps 10 hours at night. His new thing is to wake up at 6:30am which mommy and daddy don't like too much...but he's adjusting well to his big boy bed so that's nice.
He loves Mater from Cars and McQueen. He likes firetrucks and airplanes. The cute things he says now are, "I gotchoo Momma" or Odju (Hold you) Momma" He is also starting to say 4-word sentences. Instead of "no", it's "nope". He is also very attached to his blankies (he has 2 we rotate). And always asks for the "cween (clean) blankie). He also sleeps with a quilt I made him and lots of stuffed animals; a blue dog, a monkey backpack, a Mater pillow, a big doggie, and a sock monkey. But I don't blame him, he sleeps on a twin mattress which is big so he wants to feel safe.
Eli is 16lbs and 27in long...He HUGE! He wears 6 -9 month clothes and size 3 diapers...but he actually has to wear Kyle's at night LOL.
He rolls both ways and is starting to sit up now. He loves the walker and exersaucer, and just started oatmeal cereal this week! He takes 3 naps a day and drinks 4-5 bottles. He is the happiest baby ever and is such a blessing. It's nice to have a happy baby around when his brother is in the difficult "terrible two's" stage.

2 Years and 4 months

I know this is very later but between Kyle's party and going to Hawaii, I'm just getting caught up on things. The boys are getting big, especially Eli. I don't have stats till their appt. in 2 weeks, but here is a progression of pics I think is hilarious...I will say this ended up with Eli bonking his head on the chair but he was just fine...brotherly love...

23 months and 3 months

Sorry this is a little late...Both the boys are getting so big...I'm really trying to enjoy the time I do have with them.

Eli started smiling this month and is really close to laughing. He also rolls to his side but not quite to his tummy. They say you aren't to pushy about getting your 2nd baby to reach his milestones...but I still am...I enjoy trying to help him learn to roll over and to grab things...I guess I'm just not as anxious for him to do it...I know he'll do it in his time and I'm excited when he does something new. He is also sleeping through the night most nights and is just such a happy baby almost all the time. He is such a joy. I'm so thankful that he loves to snuggle. The other night I was rocking him after his bottle and he just layed on my chest and talked and cooed...it was the cutes thing...it was one of those moments where you love being a mom. He loves to grab on to anything soft and particularly likes the teddy lovie he's holding in the picture below.

My smiling happy boy

He totally knows how to smize (smile with his eyes)...tyra banks would be proud

So snuggly

Kyle is getting big and doing so many things...this month we discovered finger paint and had a blast with that. He also went bowling for the first time and even beat my score! He is very active...so active he recently figured out how to climb out of his crib...but more on that in his 2 year old update. He likes to help Eli roll over when they are playing on the floor...it's quite funny. Little brothers put up with alot. I also think we've hit the "terrible two's"...he has quite the strong will which we are working to mold and screams whenever he is told "no". Some days are quite tiring but I know it's all worth it. He is also very into "cars" particularly Mater, whom he calls, "Nonner" and sat through the entire Cars 2 movie last week. He also love trucks...like Semi-trucks...his dad frequently takes him to the people bridge that goes over the freeway to watch the trucks go by. He also likes to read books and loves any that make noise or he can flip the windows open. His new favorite is Green Eggs and Ham.

22 months and 2 months

Here is Kyle's 22 month and Eli's 2 month update

When Eli sneezes Kyle says, "bless you".

He likes to help pat Eli on the back to burp him

He also likes to pull off Eli's socks and tickle his toes
Kyle's favorite book is Go Dog Go...it's the only book he wants to read before nap and before bed. His first two-word sentance is "baby crying"...LOL

He also can go pee-pee in the potty when we ask him to though we aren't going to start potty training quite yet.

I taught him how to play his harmonica one day...and now he loves it! Here's a video, plus

Eli has been waking twice a night...hoping that goes down to once soon.
He smiles now when prompted. It's so cute! It's so nice when you finally start get rewarded with smiles for all the late nights and lack of sleep.
Eli really is an easy going baby...we are very blessed.

He had tummy issues this month that made him very cranky for a few days and he even got a fever but it wasn't anything more water and a little MiraLax in his formula didn't fix.

He's in 3-6month clothes
Eats about 7 bottles a day of 3-4 oz.

He weighs 12lbs and is 23.5" long

He Naps after each bottle, so about 4 naps a day from 45min to 2 hrs each.

21 months and 1 month

A little late...

So since Kyle and Elias's birthdates are so close (15th and 18th) I've decided to combine their updates into one post each month. And because as time goes on, the pictures of them will probably be with them together anyways. Kyle: You are 21 months now and I know this last month with you becoming a big brother has been the hardest. You are doing so well though buddy. You love you little brother to pieces and always want to give him kisses. You get so worried when he cries and always rush to give him his pacifier. We are having to teach you to be gentle though, because you like to point out his eyes and mouth to us which usually invovles a few rough pokes. I know you've had to adjust to not being the center of attention and not getting what you ask for so quickly and you are doing a good job. You also got the worst cold you've ever had this last month and are just now getting better. It's been a hard month but you're been such a good sport and are adjusting well.

Elias: I can't believe you are a month old little buddy! You've grown 2 inches and gained 3lbs 13oz since you were born. You are now 11lbs 1oz and 22 in long. We are finally getting into our schedule and you are doing so well napping now. Sometimes you cry for a minute or two but then you go right to sleep. I'm hoping you'll start stretching out your feedings at night because feeding you 3 times a night is rough...you went 6 hours between feedings the other night so I know you can do it! You really are a content baby though and only cry if you're hungry or tired. I'm excited to see your little personality come out as you grow.
