28 Weeks

Well 28 weeks started off with a Rhogam (shot) IV...I think it was better than the shot would have been. It went well...I'm happy it's over. Now I know Sprout and I are both protected. He's got a 60% change of getting daddy's blood type (A+) so I'm thankful to modern medicine for this invention. Well Kyle won't be a new fruit (or vegetable) till next week when we get to 7 months so a quiz for the week will have to do.

How far along? 28 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 20+ pre-preg I think.
Maternity clothes? Yep...even some maternity shirts are getting too short
Stretch marks? Yep but no new ones
Sleep: Okay...waking up a lot the last few nights but not feeling too tired.
Best moment this week: Waking up in the mornings and laying in bed feeling Kyle kick
Movement: LOTS...some days more than others
Food cravings: None this week
Gender: Still boy
Labor Signs: had a few Braxton Hicks, but nothing abnormal
Belly Button in or out? Out a little
What I miss: Nothing really
What I am looking forward to: My MW appt next Thursday.
Weekly Wisdom: make sure you know yours and DH's blood type and get the Rhogam shot if you have to...
Milestones: Kyle is opening and closing his eyes now suppsedly and can react to light.

Bradley Class

The first class was so good. We have to keep this food log of what we eat to make sure we are getting enough protein. She are supposed to have 100g a day. I've been having 120-135! That is just eating what I normally do! It's been good. I'ts fun because I have been tally my chart every night and let me know if I got to 100!.

The fun part of our class has been the relaxation exercises we do at the end. Ben really liked that too. I think the class is going to be better than he's expected. I know it's hard for him to give up his Friday evenings for 8 weeks. He's doing good though and I'm so glad he's coming. I wouldn't want anyone else to be my coach.

26 weeks

Sorry I don't have a picture for today...I've been sick in bed since I got home from my 3 hour glucose test so you don't even want to know what I look like...it's not pretty. The test was okay. the drink was much more sugary this time. I felt pretty sick for the first hour so after my first draw I asked to lay down and they had a nice little recovery room. That helped. I couldn't lay down for long because with my cold my head was so congested it began to hurt. I didn't want to take any meds this morning before the test because I didn't want to screw up the results. I'm glad I decided to stay home from work afterwards cause I got a nice nap and feel a little better. I haven't missed a day of work since being pregnant (thanks to no morning sickness) so I figured one day would be okay. The worst part was getting stuck with the needle so many times. The last time my blood was coming out so slowly it took forever. I was probably dehydrated some too. Well I'm going back to bed now. I'm hoping for no call from the Dr. that means I passed. Be praying I did!

I FAILED!!!

Nurse called...CBC was normal...glucose test was, "a little high". So I have to do the 3 hours one...I'm sure I'll pass that. I'm going to do it tomorrow. Pray for me!!!

Midwife appt 25 weeks 5 days

Well I got a call at 2pm yesterday saying my midwife was having an emergency root canal could they reschedule for today...I said no...I'd just see someone else. I'm so glad I did! I really liked the lady I saw. Plus I had already been eating no sugar for my glucose test and I didn't want to have to do it again today.

The glucose test was fine...the drink was not as bad as I thought...just like a cold orange melted otter pop...it was actually good. The blood draw wasn't too fun and hurt but oh well.
I thought I was going to get my Rhogam shot too but I guess I was just going to get the paperwork for it.

The new lady asked why I had come back so soon (only 2 weeks) and I said cause my midwife was going out of town and wanted to see me before she left...
She said she'd make my next appt 3 weeks so I'd be back on track at 28 weeks...the crazy thing is after this I will be going every 2 weeks! We are getting close to the end!

So stats....
BPM 130ish
Fundal height 26 (That's a 3 in growth in less than 2 weeks!)
Gained 2 lbs (in 2 weeks)
He kicks ALOT and I LOVE IT!

I also found out that my midwife works 6 weeks on 6 weeks off...didn't know this...DH thinks I should switch midwives...I really liked the one I saw yesterday...I might switch. It doesn't really matter because I don't know who will be on call when I deliver. The important thing is it will be a midwife and I won't have to see an OB.

Plans for the baby shower are coming along...the invites should be here this week.
The bedding came in yesterday!!! I LOVE it! I was planning on making it myself but decided that project was WAY more than I have time for. DH said to just buy it and save myself the hastle. (I LOVE HIM!)

I will post pictures of the room soon...it's almost done, just a few more things! I can't wait till my baby shower when I get everything else I need!

25 Weeks

First let's compare from last week...wow!

Can we say...huge! J/K I know it's going to get a lot bigger. I can totally tell he's grown this week because my skin feels like it can't stretch anymore! His kicks are getting so strong and frequent. I love it!
He is also as big as this for month 6...eggplant... I tried making it once...it was nasty...I like it at the Olive Garden though!

Also, please be praying for Dawson he was due around the same time as Kyle and was born yesterday. He is doing great but so tiny!!! He has many month in the NICU ahead of him. Click the link to see pictures of him...it was kind of neat to see how big he actually was and that Kyle is around the same size.

Yay for viability day!!! Today marks the day that Kyle has a chance in the outside world! He's also close to 2 lbs! That's just crazy! No wonder I've gained 14...LOL. Next week we should have a new fruit to compare him to...
